SMOOTH CONCRETE SURFACE PRIMER
Product Description:
Betomax BP is a polymer modified acrylic resin based primer used in gross concrete surfaces, walls and ceiling for increasing adherence, working time and workability of cement and gypsum based plasters.
Areas of Use:
Indoor and outdoor areas,
Vertical and horizontal surfaces,
Can be used as primer before cement and gypsum based plaster application,
Can be used as damp protector for hydrophilic surfaces (For example plaster boards, acc blocks, hardboard, briquette etc.),
In case of necessity can be used as undercoat for thermal board application,
Can be used as adherence improving undercoat before ceiling plaster application,
Can be used as improving for worn surfaces before any application,
Colored, provides ease for application.
Features:
Easy to apply.
Increases adherence of cement and gypsum based plasters to gross concrete.
Increases workability and open time of cement and gypsum based plasters.
Prevents rapid water loss of cement and gypsum based plasters.
Protect against humidity.
Water based, odorless.
Safe to use indoor.
Technical Specifications:
Appearance: Pink fluid
Density: ~ 1,50 kg/liter
Water Mixing Ratio: 4-6 liter
Density of Mixture: ~ 1,30 kg/liter
Application Temperature: +5ºC- +35ºC
Drying Time: 60 to 120 minutes
Full Drying Time: ~24 hours
The above values are given at +23ºC and 50% relative humidity.
Pre-Application Preparation:
Application surface has to strong, dry, bearing, clean and also in balance. Surface must be cleaned off all kinds of oil, grease and rust traces that can weaken adherence and no loose particles must be present.
Application:
Betomax BP is delivered with its working bucket. After adding 4 to 6 liters of water to 12kg bucket, it is mixed with a slow-speed (aprx.400-600 RPM) mixer for a 3 to 5 minutes until a homogenous and uniform mixture is obtained.
Mixed Betomax BP is applied on the surface by roller or brush.
Application density depends on surface absorption and roughness.
Consumption must be more at the surfaces with high adhesion surfaces.
When working with Betomax BP, the material has to be mixed from time to time.
Cement or gypsum based plasters are applied only after 24 hours after Betomax BP dries.
Warnings:
Environmental temperature must be over +5°C and not rainy.
After the application, hands and applications tools must be clean with lots of water.
Betomax BP is not suitable for highly humid environments. (For example hamams, saunas, swimming pools etc.)
When working with Betomax BP, mix the product from time to time.
Consumption: 150-300 gr/m²
Depending on surface absorption and roughness.
Packing: 12 kg. Plastic bucket
Storage and Shelf Life:
Must be stored in cool and dry environment between +5ºC and +35ºC temperature. Protected from direct sunlight and freezing.
Shelf life is 12 months when it stored unopen and under appropriate storing conditions.
